About the work

Hoofd Dans, which means Head Dance, is an original painting about the movement and chaos that can happen inside your head.

I created this work by following the flow instead of trying to control every detail. The colours, lines and different materials all move through each other, almost like thoughts dancing around inside the mind.

For me, this painting feels playful, energetic and a little chaotic. It shows how your head can be full of different emotions, ideas and impulses at the same time. Sometimes everything feels confusing, but it can also turn into something colourful and beautiful.

I used acrylic paint, ink markers, wax marker and spray paint to create different layers and textures. Every part was made by hand, which makes Hoofd Dans a completely unique artwork.

This painting is for someone who loves colour, emotion and art that does not need to be perfect or quiet. It can bring a playful and expressive energy into a modern, colourful or funky interior.
