I decided to follow that idea and pushed the unnatural shapes even further. Slowly, they transformed into hands, a face and a figure that almost looks human or perhaps more like a robot.
For me, this work explores what makes us human: our hearts, our emotions and our ability to feel.
The more we distance ourselves from nature and replace it with our own artificial versions, the more it sometimes feels as though we are slowly losing touch with our emotions. It is almost as if we are experimenting with our own humanity and forgetting what it truly means to be alive and connected.
Maybe the most important question is not how much technology we are capable of creating.
Maybe it is how much of our humanity we are willing to keep.
