The imperfections in this drawing were not hidden or corrected. Nature is not perfect, and neither are human beings, even though we often feel that we should be.
When you look at the artwork from a distance, everything appears balanced and almost complete. When you move closer, however, the small imperfections become visible. I believe these imperfections are part of what gives the work its character and beauty.
I also used shadows to create a subtle three-dimensional effect. They suggest that there is more beneath the surface and that reality has more depth than we can immediately see.
I named the work Hope because I still feel hopeful about the future. I believe people will eventually realise that perfection is impossible and that this is completely okay. There is beauty in making mistakes, in growing and in being imperfect.
Hope is a one-of-a-kind original artwork for someone who connects with themes of nature, humanity, balance and imperfect beauty. It can bring depth and character to a modern, creative or thoughtful interior.
